  Blavatsky Net
Statement of Purpose

  • accumulate evidence in support of Blavatsky's writings.
  • develop tools to assist in study of Blavatsky's work.

MADAME BLAVATSKY wrote profusely in the last quarter of the 19th century. She asserted that she received instruction from great Masters of Wisdom "beyond the Himalayas."

Her writings contain many ideas at variance to the established views of her day and even the established views of current times. However, those students who spend years studying her work encounter item after item of evidence supporting the truth of her statements. Some of this evidence is in the form of major increases in our knowledge that reflect the insight of her statements. Other evidence may consist of only small matters that, for example, make sense under her encompassing explanations but cause a problem for established views. Unfortunately, this evidence usually passes away and is not accumulated or transmitted to others.

So the first objective of this site is to provide a repository that can accumulate - on a permanent basis - this evidence. The repository will make the evidence available for all the world to examine as it wishes. There is no doubt that the cumulative impact of this repository will be compelling.

The study of Blavatsky's writings is beset with many difficulties. The second objective of this site is to make available to the student various tools and resources that will assist in the study of her writings. These range from the introductory "Checklist of Principles" for those new to the philosophy, to the detailed searching of her text online for those wanting to investigate her teachings more deeply.

Most of all, this site focuses on H. P. Blavatsky - the towering central figure of Theosophy. Such focus creates a sound basis for any student wishing to pursue the work of other subsequent Theosophical writers. A "Roadmap to Theosophy Online" offers direction to the activities of other students in this field.
